2024 BET Hip Hop Awards, hosted by Joe is fat for the third consecutive year, has officially wrapped up. Although the ceremony was held last week in Las Vegas, it was broadcast on Tuesday night.
Rapper Kendrick Lamar won big, taking home an impressive eight trophies, including Song of the Year and Artist of the Year, despite not being on the show. Other notable winners included Nicki Minaj for Hip Hop Album of the Year, Sexy Red as a Breakthrough Hip Hop Artist, and Missy Elliott for Best Live Performer.
Travis Scottknown for his hit “Highest in the Room,” received the I Am Hip Hop Award, honoring his contributions as a producer and artist over the past decade. When accepting the award, he shared, “I’ve always had this idea and vision until now to take the sound, and take things to the next level. I’m just really happy that we’ve made it this far. I want everyone to know where it came from, it’s not important, what’s in your brain can take you to the next level and beyond.
