Judge Mathis’ wife, Linda, filed for divorce on August 22, citing “irreconcilable differences” at the time and asking for the court’s support.
The request is cut and dry, but since the fandom needs answers, the Internet is looking for reasons why the couple broke up. After all, no one ends a marriage after almost 40 years without a major problem to blame.
Of course, like many celebrity couples, speculation arose that someone was unfaithful, Judge Mathis.
But not only that, as the rumors intensified that he was lost, the story developed into one of cheating, for one of his secret love children!
Yes, the “side baby” narrative begins. That is, people started talking about Judge Matthis having a child born out of wedlock.

Judge Mathis Breaks Silence On ‘Side Baby’ & Divorce Allegations
After remaining silent at first about the basis for his split, said Judge Mathis a few days ago to TMZ and make a few things clear in the process:
- The couple still lives under the same roof.
- He is determined to win Linda back and stay married.
- And, no, he is not an adulterer.
“It was the worst day of my life,” Mathis told the celebrity gossip website at the airport on August 30.
He later took responsibility for the break-up, stating:
“Maybe I’ll be an example to others – a cautionary tale. Don’t neglect your wife. That’s right, man.”
Mathis even admitted that he could understand why his wife might suspect that he had stolen with another woman, although he denied it had happened.
“Neglect can raise suspicions, that’s for sure,” Mathis told TMZ.
“When you’re gone like me, they have the right to be suspicious. You go to work, and you go to the community around the country.
“Then you go to a sporting event across the country with your husband and you go to another event without your husband. He will have every right to suspect cheating.
To be more clear, however?
“That’s not the reason,” he added.

Judge Mathis shares daughters Jade, 40, and Camara, 36, as well as sons Greg Jr., 35, and Amir, 34, with Linda.
Sounds like a family worth fighting for – and according to Honor TV, that’s exactly what they plan to do!
“I’m committed to staying home more and making my wife a priority, but as you can see, I haven’t,” Mathis also admitted to TMZ. “I’m still on the road doing the same thing about going out and going to other cities.”
However, Mathis concluded, saying that she is determined to right all her romantic wrongs, telling TMZ in no uncertain terms during the conversation:
“I want my wife back.”
