At 93, Barbara Eden may have found the fountain of youth.
The “I Dream of Jeannie” star, who celebrates her birthday on August 23, has no plans to slow down. Recently, he appeared at Fan Boy Expo Comic Con and is set to head to Wyland Galleries in Orlando, Florida, for Adam Scott Rote’s exhibit, “Disney Fine Art,” on October 18.
The actress told Fox News Digital that staying active is key to looking and feeling young.

“I used to work out all the time,” Eden said. “I used to do spinning classes and then do weights with a trainer… When COVID hit, that stopped heavy training. Now I have a stationary bike and I lift five kilograms. I use very light weights, but they are good for your bones.”
While Eden feels comfortable at home, she misses going to the gym and working out with others.
“I like the camaraderie and I like the spinning class,” she said. “It asks you to go. And I don’t have much to start on my own. I have to remind myself to go to the bike.”

The “I Love Lucy” starlet recommends experimenting with different exercise routines to find what you like and what fits your lifestyle. It also makes your sweat session interesting, he points out.
“I remember when aerobics was all the rage,” he said. “It’s good for you. I tried, but no, it’s not for me. But walking? Now that’s another thing. If you can walk fast, which suits me, it’s good for you. It’s good for you. knees and my ankles find it better than walking.”

Eden doesn’t just rely on a daily training routine. He also practices eating in moderation, which his parents taught him. Habits are stuck.
“I am lucky to have a mother and father who remember to eat and live,” he explained. “My mother’s mantra was ‘moderate everything.’ That’s how they are, and that’s how I’ve lived.
“I like Italian food. German too. I like schnitzel, especially when you squeeze lemon on it. It’s delicious. And of course, growing up in San Francisco, we have really had the best Italian and Chinese food ever. Friends will argue with him He always said that the best in New York, but I think it’s in San Francisco.
“I eat sugar, too,” she admits. “I love candy. I love key lime pie. My sister brought me one for my birthday. I also love angel food cake. I make my own angel food cake and put it on really sweet lemon icing. And chocolate, of course – I love them , you can’t give me anything.
Despite looking glammed up on set, Eden says she prefers to follow a simple skincare routine that keeps her skin smooth and supple.
“I wash my face with Cetaphil every night,” she says. “Very gentle. I also use Estée Lauder’s Repair Serum every night. I’ve been using serum on my face since I was young. But keeping your face clean is very important. When I wear makeup, I remove it with a gentle facial cleanser, I never go to sleep without washing your face.

“I’ve learned how to do makeup on set,” she shared. “When you work with the best, the makeup artists in Hollywood, you have the best. So, of course, you have to learn.”
“I learned how to use eyeliner. I never did that. I didn’t even know I could do that. But now, it’s easy to learn how to do my own makeup. I remember going to the hospital and the nurse there. I have curly eyelashes that It’s like being on set!”
Eden has led a successful decades-long career in Hollywood and even appeared with Elvis Presley in “Flaming Star.” The sitcom star says being busy with work also keeps him feeling young.
“Connecting with my fans is very important to me,” she explained. “First of all, I think I have the best people who love what I’ve done. Nobody is rude. Nobody is out of line. Everyone is polite and fun – no matter where they are.”

Eden remembers bumping into a group of “Jeannies” during an unforgettable Halloween.
“Now, I’m not advocating it at all, but I remember three young people from this college coming to the door, and they were all dressed as Jeannie. They were just having fun being Jeannie with the ponytail, the pink pants—everything. It was weird, but it was fun! “

When asked what has kept him going for so many years, Eden admits he doesn’t know. The drive is always there.
“I didn’t think about it,” he said. “I would think that the shrink would say that I want to be productive and not sit on the shelf and do nothing. I’m going to be part of civilization… If you don’t try, you’ll never do anything.
While Eden has earned many credits along the way, he doesn’t remember much. For him, it’s all about moving forward.
“I don’t think about it very often,” he said. “You don’t just sit and think. You just go and do it… Time goes on and you do it.”
