CCTV footage captures the moment XL Bully and Pitbull team up to attack a pet cat in the family’s driveway.
Mum-of-three Sarah Hewson, 47, was left horrified as she re-watched the footage after her ‘beautiful’ cat Mog went missing on July 20.
The disturbing video shows the cat sitting outside the family’s home in Rubery, Birmingham, before she was set upon by one of the hounds at around 6.15am.
Mog can be seen being dragged to the side of the road ‘like a toy’ before a second snarling mutt joins in on a ferocious attack sinking its jaws into its stomach.
Amazingly, the injured animal escaped and survived the vicious attack – but Sarah and her family have now been left with vet bills of at least £3,000.

Sarah found Mog two days later cowering in a little wooden house in the garden who had ‘dragged himself’ back home despite his horrendous injuries.
West Mercia Police and the RSPCA are now investigating the attack after Mog suffered stab wounds and serious damage to his liver.
Housewife Sarah said: ‘It’s horrible. I fed Mog as I usually do most mornings when I came to the back door and then went wandering.
“He was sitting on the road when a woman came with one dog and another on a lead.
‘The first dog came over the side of the wall like a flash and Mog didn’t stand a chance because it happened so fast.
‘It was terrifying to watch back. He would just drag it and you could see one of them sinking his teeth into his stomach.
‘It’s amazing that he got away because there were two people trying to get to him. The vet said it’s a miracle he came home and it’s a miracle he’s alive.
“He said he didn’t think he was going to get hurt.
‘I have a young grandson and I dread to think what might have happened if he had been there instead of Mog’.
Sarah said she knew something bad was going on when Mog didn’t come home on Saturday night.
He added: “My son said he heard shouting and screaming and dogs barking on Saturday morning and that’s when we thought we should check the CCTV.
‘After seeing the footage, we immediately went out looking for him.

“We’ve been very worried about him because he’s never lost food. He’s lost but he’s been here for eight years.
‘He feels like a family pet but we have tried to track down his owner before to no avail as he is not microchipped. The vet tried it too.
“We searched the local park, we stopped to walk the dog, checked the playground behind the house – everywhere we could think of.
“We thought that he would not survive the attack much longer, and then we found him on Monday, July 22.
‘He must have dragged himself because he likes to sleep in the little wooden house in our garden. How to manage it is beyond me.’
The family have now launched a GoFundMe appeal in the hope of raising funds to cover part of the vet bills.
Sarah added: ‘The owners have another week to come forward and if they don’t then they are theirs.
‘Obviously he’s not our cat, he’s uninsured, and having three of his own insured, this kind of money to pay out of the blue is a lot of money.
‘The police say they will get some dog handlers and I have spoken to the RSPCA who say they are in touch with the police.
“We believe one of the breeds is the XL Bully which does not have a muzzle, and the other could be the Pitbull that the RSPCA is considering, which is also a banned breed.

‘We have heard there are concerns about the welfare of other animals being treated by these people so we hope the police and the RSPCA act quickly.’
Mog was left in intensive care with injuries and required round-the-clock care which led to him being fed through a tube ‘like a baby’.
Sarah added: ‘He’s still shedding now and needs antibiotics as he’s got an infection so the vet bills can only go up from here.’
A West Mercia Police spokesman said: ‘We received a report that at around 6.15am on Friday 20th July a cat on Callowbrook Lane in Rubery had been attacked by a dog.
‘An investigation is underway.’
