The Brown family has been through a lot the past few years.
In fact, happy times are few and far between, but when they do happen, the family celebrates.
Just as Mykelti Brown welcomes her twins, Madison Brown starts a new business, and Christine, one of Kodyâs ex-husbands, finds love again and marries a new man.
Fans are now only watching Christineâs courtship with her husband David unfold in the new season. This includes the initial reaction of children that he is serious with them.
And someone who was clearly not on board from the start was his daughter Gwendlyn.
So now itâs no surprise that he didnât attend his motherâs wedding last October.

But letâs go back here, back to December 2022. Thatâs when Christine started dating David Wooley, a widower with 8 children.
Things got pretty serious quickly for the couple. In one episode of Sister Wifeseason 19, Christine even said they said the âLâ word on the second date.
In less than a year, the couple got married, with a wedding in October 2023.
Then there was Gwendlyn, the third of the Sister Wifeâ stars Kody Brown and Christine Brown. While Christine was getting to know her future husband, Gwen was locking her future husband down.
Gwen proposed to her now-wife Beatriz in November 2022. They married the following summer, in July 2023.
Several members of Gwendlynâs family were there to celebrate, including her mother and sister, as well as Meri Brown and Leon Brown.
Then, it was time for Christine to walk down the aisle.
And thatâs where the story gets tricky.
Gwendlyn Skips Her Momâs Big Day
TLC viewers are dying to know why the 21-year-old didnât attend her motherâs wedding to David Woolley in October 2023.

Of course it seems that Gwendlyn is close to Christine, so many are wondering why she could skip such an important event.
A few days after the wedding, with fans feverishly sharing conspiracy theories and bombarding her with questions, Gwen finally explained the situation.
Well, kind of. We canât say Brownâs response is exactly satisfying or enlightening, either.
âIâm busy lol. A lot of school and my house,â Gwen told followers during an Instagram Q&A, then mentioned her organic chemistry class.
While it was true that Gwen was still at school at the time and had just moved into a new dream house with her husband, it seemed to be a slim reason given the occasion she missed.
However, Gwen insisted that her mother knew that she was not planning a ceremony or reception in Utah.
âHe didnât think he took me off the guest list as soon as I told him,â Gwendlyn added to followers in this update.
Is There Another Reason?!
Christine was able to enjoy her special day together with her five other children, but this was hard to believe.
He must have been disappointed that Gwendlyn didnât vote.
Does Gwendlyn just not want to be on camera for a show TLC does? Or if he tried to avoid Paedonâs brother, who did he dislike?
No and no, he insists now it doesnât factor into his decision.
Meanwhile, while Gwen insists that her mother knows all about her plans, sister Mykelti Brown looks dark.
âGwendlyn didnât tell me why she wasnât there,â Mykelti said on Patreon at the time, adding:
âWhen he didnât show up, I was really surprised. I didnât know he wasnât going to be thereâŠ
âI donât know why. It could be an emergency, nothing, who knows? ⊠But itâs sad.â
Itâs all a bit fishy in my opinion.
