Where would you recommend for a first date?
I haven’t had a first date in years and I don’t have a specific place because there are so many amazing places. But Broadwick in Soho can be the perfect little sexy spot for a first date.
What stores do you rely on?
Unfortunately, it was before Matches closed, which was my favorite. And I will go to brick and mortar online as well. Now, I love Selfridges. It has everything.

What’s the best meal you’ve ever had?
Some of the best food is consistently good at Dorian’s in Notting Hill. Convenient. They changed the menu, and everything was amazing. Entire. I was there three weeks ago. I have this giant scallop in this shell. It’s beautiful. It’s great, everything is great, it’s great. I was there with two of my girlfriends for a mother’s night out. Really good. The funny thing is, my husband has never been on a date, so I owe him money there.

Oh god, do you know what I saw? And this is stupid, but I just saw it on TikTok not too long ago. He had this boat, which also looked like a fire hazard, but there was a boat that could burn. Everyone should do it, every day, all day. You get two hours, everyone has a nice little barbecue – I don’t know how many boats we can take down the Thames. But I just came, I mean, you know, you have to pick the weather, but it’s going to be fun. Compulsory. All must come on a barbecue boat.
What is your biggest splurge?
Probably shopping. I love sad shopping. It’s disturbing. I won’t say I’m glad Match is over, because that’s rude. But it helps a bit. It helps a bit that they are not around anymore.
Who are the best Londoners?
This is a tough one, a good Londoner in real history? Bowie. That’s not difficult, actually. That just came to me. I love him. They are everything. His whole career is experimenting and reinventing, and being totally authentic himself and making beautiful music, until the day he leaves this earth. I really think they are aliens. He’s just amazing.

What’s the nicest thing a taxi driver has said to you?
I usually only take black taxis, but they are good when you ask for good, let me tell you the information that comes out. To be honest, I had some really good conversations. I think when you get a good one, they’re just very proud of London, and where they’re from, and how they’re doing. I love hearing these stories about how things used to be.

Where are you going with your hair down?
I mean, it’s been a while since I was a baby. I look forward to going back outside, because I haven’t been out for a minute. I’ve been momming for two and a half years, so I’m getting a bit old now, watch out London. The last time I let my hair down was probably my birthday, which was last year at Maison Estelle. There is a good atmosphere, I would say, because there are two or three clubs there.
And what do you drink when you let your hair down?
I’m a champagne girlie, I’m a little bubbly. But when I want to add, I love tequila.
What is your favorite beauty spot?
I have two, because hair and makeup I love usually come, but if I have to go somewhere, my favorite facialist is Fatma Shaheen (at John Bell & Croyden on Wigmore Street, and Selfridges). They have a brand called Skin Design London, which is available in Selfridges and other places. The goods are beautiful. He is amazing. I wouldn’t go to anyone else if I could help it. For hair I go to a few different places, but Edmund Bossman is probably number one. Those are my people.
What do you do now for work?
Well, I just published a book called Who’s That Girl?, and I’m already thinking about the next one. Not exactly like this, but more of a modality that helps me deal with certain things I do. I love the process, I really do.
