Sister Wife’ Christine Brown have moved on from your ex-husband Kody Brown – but that doesn’t mean they weren’t surprised by the comments about their relationship.
“I’m frustrated and hurt,” Christine, 52, exclusively told in the latest issue of Us Weeklyreferring to Kody’s negative comments about his alleged unloved ex-wife.
Christine and Kody, 55, separated in November 2021 after more than 25 years of being part of a spiritual marriage. Christine’s sister’s husband Janelle Brown and Meri Brown leaving Kody in December 2022 and January 2023.
Kody, who is still married to his fourth wife Robyn Brownhas said in the TLC series that he had a “terrible relationship” before his breakups, calling the wedding to Christine “sad” during the Sunday, October 27, episode.
Christine, who remarried David Moon in October 2023, inform us he finds solace in his wife as he watches the show.
“I only talked to David because I would never do the things he (Kody) accused me of,” Christine said, referring to Kody’s accusations that he and Janelle, 55, poisoned their children against him after their divorce.
“David (said), ‘Nobody’s going to believe it. Everyone knows you’re not going to fight your kids with Kody,'” Christine said, noting that “divorce is hard.”
He admits that “having to listen to what is being said about you behind your back is difficult.”
At the latest Sister Wife episode, Kody hinted that he had “f- and war” relationship with his first three wives. “I’m in a bad relationship but I don’t want to discard them, I don’t want to discard them,” he said during Sunday’s episode.
Kody also said that having an “F&F” style romance where “the second word is fighting” isn’t healthy. “That doesn’t create intimacy, that only creates orgasm,” she added.
Christine, for her part, previously spoke about the lack of intimacy and said that Kody was not in her family. “I’m the one the kids listen to and I’m the one the kids talk to,” she told the camera during the September 2023 episode. “And if they need to feel love or security or acceptance, they get it from me.”
Despite the insult-slinging from both sides, Christine says she is in a better place after leaving Kody, with whom she shares six children. “Kody doesn’t define me — I define me,” she tells me us.
While Christine doesn’t like seeing Kody and his comments on camera, she says it’s “fun” to see the show “through David’s eyes” now that he’s filming.
When it comes to how David fits into the family, Christine tells us us she “dreaded” him to meet Kody. “We know everyone is going to do their best,” he said. “We’re going to live in the same place for the rest of our lives. We just have to be mature about it. David and Kody handled it well. They’re men.”
As for herself, Christine says she’s also evolving. “I’m stronger than I thought,” she says of her life after leaving Kody. “I’m very grateful for everything that happened to lead me here. I’m happy wherever I am.”
