Ohio’s election integrity unit announced Thursday that it has uncovered a voter fraud scheme involving Haitians living in the state.
In a press release on Thursday, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose explained the details of the scheme and said he would “aggressively pursue” those involved, including third-party groups and paid canvassers.
The release states:
Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced today that the Election Integrity Unit has issued a warning to Ohio’s 88 county boards of elections after an investigation found illegal use of voter registration forms by government agencies.
“This is a reminder to all election officials to be vigilant as we enter the final weeks of voter registration qualifications for the 2024 general election,” said Secretary LaRose. “We continue to aggressively pursue third-party groups and paid canvassers who have submitted fraudulent registration forms, and we are cracking down on the use of illegal forms that are not authorized by the office as required by law. This investigation occurs even as we continue to expand enforcement of Ohio’s constitutional citizenship election requirements.
The office’s Election Integrity Unit recently concluded an investigation into its origins illegal voter registration forms translated into Haitian Creole. The Clark County Board of Elections reported this form to our office after rejecting the submission by a local applicant.
“The board confirmed that they only received one of these illegal forms, but they rightly identified it as illegal and worked with the team to track down the source with the help of the district government assistance office,” said Hun Yi, Director of Investigation. for the office’s Public Integrity Division, in a memo to election officials. “The form incorrectly included outsourcing to a foreign language translation service. This has drawn national attention due to the large number of Haitian refugees who have recently migrated to the Springfield area, and is an important reminder that councils and designated voter registration agencies need to be vigilant about the use of forms sent to their offices.
The memo also highlights the Secretary of State’s efforts to improve the state’s audit of Ohio’s voter registration for citizenship compliance, using records provided by the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles and the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Systematic Federal Alien Verification for Entitlement (SAVE). ) database. The office is also implementing more extensive cross-examination of Social Security Administration records, federal jury pool data, and naturalization records maintained by the justice system, while repeatedly asking the Biden-Harris administration to provide access to additional DHS databases, specifically Person Centric. Database Query Service (PCQS), Person Centric Identity Services (PCIS) database, and Central Index System 2…
…The memo concludes with news of an ongoing investigation into evidence of a pattern of fraudulent voter registration activity in multiple counties under the paid employment of a so-called group Black Fork Strategy.
The findings underscore efforts by LaRose, who is one of several Republicans trying to address widespread voter fraud that has marred the 2020 presidential election.
Last month, LaRose referred 597 non-citizens for prosecution after they were found to have registered to vote or cast ballots illegally in recent elections.

The discovery comes amid tensions in Springfield, Ohio after numerous reports that Haitian migrants, 20,000 sent to the country by the Biden regime, have eaten animals including cats and geese.
The release added that it continues to investigate “evidence of a pattern of fraudulent voter registration activity in multiple counties under the paid employment of a group called Black Fork Strategies.”
According to its website, Black Fork Strategy’s goal is to build “long-term progressive power,” primarily through canvassing and get out the vote campaigns.
