‘I just don’t understand? What makes Big Brother better & more interesting than other shows is the variety of people it chooses from, including ages. Why do we have so many people in their 20s, especially men? It’s not Love Island. Listen up ITV viewers’.
‘Has the brother become a love island….. why are they all young and attractive!? I must be 65 years old Kevin who just sits about and farts all day; So it seems the @bbuk casting team can’t be bothered this year and hit the @ITV Love Island rejection pile… So disappointed’.

‘Shame #BBUK hasn’t got the casting right. Go from picture perfect love island type. We need haggard, disturbed, old, frustrated and annoyed people I’m afraid.
Even Big Brother veteran Jedward, who starred in the Celebrity version of the show twice in 2011 and 2017, joined in the criticism.
The Irish duo took to Twitter to echo: ‘Brother should be more diverse in age. It’s more Love Island than bro #BBUK’.
