Adele has just wrapped up her residency at an arena she built in Munich, with a capacity of 80,000 fans per night.
Ahead of the show’s summer, the 36-year-old singer had suggested she was taking a break, but has now clarified what that means.
Emotionally, he announced to the crowd that once he had finished his last Las Vegas residency show – postponed due to illness – he was saying goodbye.
“I will continue to love you in my heart during my break,” Adele told fans, as seen in a video taken at the event.
He began his speech by thanking everyone who attended the show last Saturday night as well as anyone ‘who came to one of my shows’.
Adele continued: ‘I’m not the most comfortable player, but I’m really good at it, and I’ve had a lot of fun playing for almost three years now, the longest I’ve ever played. , and probably the longest I’ll ever do.
‘But I still have 10 shows left after this, back in my (Las Vegas) residency, because I was short before … so it’s a late one, and obviously … (this) should be the last show.’
In February, Adele was forced to postpone her Vegas show for five weeks due to concerns about her vocal chords while she tries to get back to ‘full health’.
The Chasing Pavements icon added: ‘I’d love it if I didn’t, because I’ve got five shows left in a week, (because) it’s like the weekend and stuff like that, and 10 shows to do.
‘And after that I will not see you for an incredibly long time, and I will hold you dear in my heart for my whole break, and I will fantasize about this show, and any events that have ended over the last three. year.
‘I really hold him in my heart forever, it’s amazing, I just need a break and I’ve spent the last seven years building a new life for myself, and I want to live now, I want to. to live the new life I have built.’
Trying to hold back tears, Adele concluded that she will miss her fans very much and hopes to see them again at the remaining shows.
