Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine) has been devastated after a deep porn video prevented her from seeing her children on Coronation Street.
Viewers of the ITV soap will remember that twins Charlie and Lexi were taken into care in 2017 when she was deemed an unfit mother due to substance abuse issues.
The devastation was further compounded when she learned that her adoptive parents had moved to Australia.
Since losing her eldest son Seb (Harry Visinoni) in a vicious attack at the hands of Corey Brent (Maximus Evans), Abi’s regrets over her past mistakes have worsened.
Those feelings resurfaced last month, when he discovered that an independent production company was making a documentary series following his son’s killer soccer success behind bars.
Unfortunately, it is too late to delete the series.
The next day, former drug dealer Dean Turnbull (Anthony Crank) arrives at Webster’s Autocentre and demands money from him. Abi is quick to shut her down, she threatens not to show her face and sends her on her way as Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) watches.
Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) is then shocked to open his work email and discover that someone has forwarded a sex tape, featuring Abi – and it quickly spread on social media.
Not remembering this, he assumed it was recorded while he was high on heroin. It appears that this was part of a vicious deepfake attack, and other videos soon followed.
Afraid of the consequences of the video and wondering how to control the situation, Abi turns to Seb’s girlfriend, Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher), who remembers when Asha Alahan’s (Tanisha Gorey) nude video surfaced, and advises her to DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) remove the video from viewing.
This procedure will ask your internet service provider or search engine to remove or disable access.

In tonight’s episode (June 5), Kevin (Michael Le Vell) meets with someone from the company who can enforce the ban, but is disappointed to learn that it will cost him £5,000 a month to maintain it.
Obviously, Webster doesn’t have that kind of money – but before he can even think about his next move, the twins’ adoptive mother calls to do more damage.
Telling Abi that Lexi has chicken pox, which is why she can’t attend the planned meetings, she becomes convinced that the video is actually preventing access.
The situation made the couple very angry, and they tried to find the IP address responsible for sending it.
Will they get to the bottom of this terrible situation?
