New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers knew what he was up to on Tuesday.
During an appearance on ESPN’s “The Pat McAfee Show” on Friday, a night after his team’s big win over the Houston Texans, Rodgers discussed the upcoming election.
The midfielder revealed that he is now registered to vote in New Jersey. But Rodgers and the show’s co-hosts also noted that Tuesday is also important because of the NFL trade deadline. At the end of Rodgers’ appearance, he referred to Tuesday as a “trade deadline” while discussing political issues like FEMA and financial aid for Ukraine.
When referring to that day, Rodgers appeared to be snubbing the celebrity endorsements this year.
“If you don’t know what to do at the trade deadline, ask your favorite celebrity,” Rodgers said. “My favorite is when the celebrity is bought and paid for by China.”

Rodgers’ comments come amid a last-minute celebrity endorsement for Vice President Kamala Harris in the weeks leading up to the election. NBA star LeBron James and even the main cast of Marvel’s Avengers movies, including Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson, have announced their endorsements for Harris in the past week. Pop stars like Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez have also made their stance in support of Harris clear ahead of next week’s high-stakes election day.
There are no celebrity endorsements important to NFL trade deadline decisions to report.
But Rodgers didn’t stop.
He also vocally criticized the US government’s decision to send billions of dollars in aid to Ukraine, which happened under the Biden-Harris administration, while many Americans in the southeastern part of the country were affected by hurricanes in recent months. .
“I don’t have a problem with Ukraine, I just think there are so many problems in the United States that we can help with $180 billion instead of fighting a proxy war,” Rodgers said. “You know, like a natural disaster, and there’s FEMA confiscating bottled water and food supplies from people trying to help, like maybe let’s help them, and obviously FEMA doesn’t have the best record going back to 2005 and Katrina, but I think there are a lot of problems in the country, and some sick people can use more than $600, $700.
Rodgers appeared to be referring to the recent response of the Biden-Harris administration to Hurricane Helene, which brought billions of dollars in property damage to Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina and parts of Florida, Tennessee and Virginia.

The US has sent $66.9 billion as of October 21, according to the State Department.
Meanwhile, the Homeland Security Inspector General’s report from August stated that FEMA has $7 billion that can be directed to help the recovery from Hurricanes Helene and Miltonwhich hit the region, especially Florida, later that month. However, FEMA denied that all of the money was refundable, signaling that only $4.5 billion was unobligated and could be reprogrammed.
But Fox News Digital previously reported that the August Inspector General report “gives an incomplete picture” of how much money is available.
Rodgers has previously criticized the Democratic Party. He dismissed the political system as a “sham” during a podcast interview from Lake Tahoe this summer. Rodgers specifically called out Hillary Clinton’s infamous email scandal and the notion that the 2016 DNC primary was rigged to favor Clinton over Bernie Sanders.
“Politics, I’ve said from the beginning, it’s an absolute fake. And if we’ve seen anything, what they did to Bernie Sanders in 2016, what we saw in (John) Podesta’s email or the fact that there was never really any change. .didn’t let Bobby in or anyone else,” Rodgers said during an interview on “Pardon My Take” on July 22.
Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, Vice Chairwoman of the Senate Democratic Caucus, also said her 2016 primary was “rigged” against Sanders, during an interview on CNN in November 2017.
In the same episode, Rodgers also suggested that former Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was involved in insider trading.

Rodgers also criticized the inability of third-party candidates to get on the ballot for the election.
Kennedy failed to meet the terms of the debate between President Biden and former President Trump, which influenced politicians and top Democratic donors to ask Biden to drop out of the 2024 race.
“We have Bobby, who didn’t even get a chance to be in the debate. If you know inside how ridiculous it is for a third party candidate to get on the ballots in 50 states – it’s f— the fake,” said Rodgers. “It’s a certain color in some states. There are certain people you have to send in other states. It’s a certain number of votes in certain states. It’s a f–ing joke.”
Rodgers was floated as Kennedy’s running mate before Kennedy chose Nicole Shanahan. Rodgers admitted he “considered” joining the Kennedy ticket, but chose “live.”
Kennedy has since withdrawn from the race and endorsed former president Trump.
