Lights… cameras… action! It’s time for Movie Week on Strictly Come Dancing.
It’s week three of the BBC dancing competition, with contestants still on some recognizable tunes. Already a Meaning first to celebrate as well as Punam Krishan made history by becoming the first contestant in the show’s history to dance a Bollywood routine.
Tonight (October 5), the stars perform numbers for the soundtrack of the film including Paddington, Wonkaand The Little Mermaid.
Last week’s leaderboard top, Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and professional Aljaž Škorjanec, will perform the Rumba to Billie Eillish’s “What Was I Made For?” of Barbie. You can find the full list of who performed what song here.
DIY sauce star Nick Knowles has had to pull out of the competition this week after sustaining another injury. According to the rules of the competition, he and Luba Musthuk will receive a bye until next week.
Movie Week comes after the first elimination of the season, which saw Olympic champion Tom Dean exit the series.
Tonight’s episode also comes days after the BBC published the findings of its investigation into allegations against Gionvanni Pernice of abusive behaviour.
The broadcaster cleared Pernice of some of the most serious allegations leveled against her, while also apologizing to actor Amanda Abbington who filed a complaint against Pernice.
It’s a wrap!
What a night, right? From jaw-dropping changes to history-making routines and, of course, Craig getting booed, Movie Week has truly delivered.
I’ll be back next Friday when Nick Knowles hopefully returns to the floor, which means we’ll once again have 13 couples dancing. See you soon.

What a way to end the show
I’ll be honest, I’m still recovering from Punam’s beautiful actions and emotional moments after but Jamie – wow!
At EastEnders star had a difficult job closing the show but did it in style with his Rocketman routine.
Hats off to the costume department for this fur bonanza. And Quickstep is great too!

Punam leaves Motsi in tears
Motsi cried while praising Punam for her history-making dance, while I also cried a little at home.
“That really moved me,” Motsi said. “I know a lot of people are watching you right now and they’re really enjoying watching this Strictly Come Dancing.
“Just watching you… your hair flies, your eyes sparkle and do the whole story. It’s so beautiful to see, (it’s) so beautiful to see you in such a way… Beautiful dance.
Ah, Saturday night, huh? Really, who needs to go out when you can watch some celebrities dance and cry? Upper level evening.

Punam made history
Punam’s place in the competition looked far from secure last week, when she finished third from bottom on the leaderboard, so there is definitely room for improvement.
Frankly, there couldn’t have been a better time for them to appear on Couple’s Choice — and a history-maker no less, as Punam and Gorka performed a traditional Bollywood dance to “Bole Chudiyan” from the 2001 film. Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. Well done!
Here is more information about the dance…

Best transformation of the night?
I am, of course, talking about Wynne Evans as Mrs. Doubtfire. This is what Movie Week is all about. And his actions weren’t bad either.
“Before you say anything, this is all my own money,” he laughed to the judges.
