Hallmark Channel has unveiled 47 big holiday movies as part of its 15th annual “Countdown to Christmas.”
The main channel will air 31 new movies this season, while Hallmark Mystery will air nine new movies as part of “Miracles of Christmas.” The annual event begins on October 18.
In addition, viewers can expect to see three new ones Christmas at Cherry Lane a film that will expand on the story of the family, and four new films Opening the Christmas wrapping franchise will debut.
This year’s lineup includes some exciting reunions, such as Office Space co-stars Diedrich Bader and Richard Riehle in it Holiday Touchdown: A Chief Love Story; Sabrina the Teenage Witch It stars Caroline Rhea and Beth Broderick Vacation is not appropriate; Pretty Little Lies alumni Tammin Sursok and Brant Daugherty Trivia in St. Nick; and the former When the Heart Calls couple Erin Krakow and Daniel Lissing Santa Talked To Me.
In addition to the following movies, Hallmark is also presenting several new series.
Looking for Mr. Christmashosted by Jonathan Bennett and judged by Melissa Peterman, is an eight-episode reality competition series that follows “10 promising Hallmark ‘hunks’ who live together and compete against each other for the lead role in an upcoming original holiday movie.” The winner of the competition will star as Jessica Lowndes in a Hallmark original movie Congratulations Riyadiwhich premiered on December 21.
Ready, Set, Glow! is a three-episode unscripted series hosted by Wes Brown, featuring holiday light shows across the country. It will debut on December 12th.
Meanwhile, in the recently launched Hallmark+ app, two new limited series will be available.
Sarah Drew The Mistletoe MurdersThe six-episode show based on the original title of the popular Audible, will premiere on October 31. The series follows the owner of a Christmas-themed gift shop whose friend is accused of murder. According to the logline, “he can’t use his sleuthing skills when his friend is accused of murder…or falls for local Detective Sam Wilner.”
Finally, a limited series is called Discardedwhich “follows six families from different backgrounds all living in the same cul-de-sac,” will debut two of its eight episodes on November 14. The series stars Dennis Haysbert, John C. McGinley, Loretta Devine, and Virginia Madsen.
