Jen Tran‘s journey to love has just been a major curveball affair. In the July 29 episode of The BacheloretteMatt Rossi, the leading lady’s former boyfriend, traveled to New Zealand on his own dime to vie for Jenn’s heart once again.
After a quick vetting by the franchise host Jesse PalmerThe producer of the show led Matt to Jenn to have a conversation.
“I feel both a little bit nervous, a little bit excited. We were in love and I think a part of us will always be in love. For me, it’s only ever become stronger,” he said to the camera. “I’m here to hopefully be one of the steps in the right direction to prove to them how important it is to me and how seriously I’m doing this.”
Matt begins the conversation by revealing that he blew the two parties he was supposed to attend with Jenn because they “weren’t the same” without her by his side.
“I can’t go to the party without you,” he said. “I’m not ready to let you go and get engaged without telling you that I still have very strong feelings for you, now more than ever.”
When Jenn pressed Matt that he was ready to get engaged, he quickly responded, “I’m ready.”
Jenn was left “confused” by the romantic gesture and wondered why Matt didn’t declare his feelings before he left to show.
“I said it. I didn’t say it as grandly as this, I guess,” he said. “… I really love you… I intend to love you. I want to continue this journey together… I would love to go with you so I can prove to you how much you mean to me, tell you how much I still care about you. “
With that, Jenn walked away to consider the situation and what it would mean for the others if she let Matt stay.
“It confuses me and takes my head off a bit. There are people here for whom I have very strong feelings and I am afraid of what some of these people may do and how some of them may feel. That,” he said in his confessions. “But I also know Matt a lot more than these people I just met a couple of weeks ago. He’s someone I care about. I have a difficult decision to make and I don’t know where my heart is pulling me.”
In the preview for next week’s episode, Jenn’s people were less than pleased by Matt’s arrival, with one saying it was “livid” and the other complaining that it was “unfair.”
Jenn, meanwhile, seems to be more uncertain than ever when he tells the camera, “As I can see the future behind this, I also see the future where I end up alone.”

He previously talked about his relationship with Jenn
In a February TikTok, Matt has his dog, Kirkland, talking about his relationship with Jenn.
“When I was still a twinkle in my father’s eye, he was a 24-year-old boy living in Boston with his three best friends,” says Kirkland’s voiceover. “… He’s single so sick, it’s not that different than he is now, so he decided to use this app called Hinge, which he’s never done before because he’s scared of Craigslist killers.”
“So he found a cute, sweet girl named Jenn. Totally out of his league. Somehow he gave her a chance, she hit it off, and they started dating,” he said. “It started to heat up, they became quite serious, and Jenn was ready to settle down with someone, but my father just wasn’t there yet. He is still, as I said, af**k boy. He remains a friend, and now my father uses him for influence. “

During his podcast appearance, Matt revealed that, even though he is in corporate America, he has an entrepreneurial mindset. He confessed to his parents, both of whom immigrated to America from Italy and neither of whom attended college.
“The two of them started their own company. My mother is a hairdresser, she has a hair salon in Newton that she has been doing for more than 30 years. My father helped support my grandfather, who opened an Italian restaurant in Hampshire, and then together. build a career in real estate,” he said. “I’ve always had this entrepreneurial spirit… (But) I got a college education.
