The right-wing media has wrongly told audiences that crime is up under President Biden, even as violent crime is down.
“(T)his report was largely ignored by right-wing media outlets, which pushed the false narrative that crime is rising under President Joe Biden,” CNN reported, noting that the US recorded “the steepest annual decline in homicides in decades.”
But right-wing media operations are not showing good news on violent crime in anticipation of the election. In fact, they even make up lies to hide the truth from the audience.
CNN noted that Fox News “mentioned the FBI data only once on Monday’s air … devoting 28 seconds to the subject,” and instead “told viewers, ‘critics say the report is inaccurate because it does not include large cities,’ a False claims promoted by Elon Musk and other Trump supporters on social media.
This conspiracy of silence on crime data is consistent across the right-wing media, with Newsmax and OAN TV remaining silent along with almost the entire fleet of right-wing websites, except Newsmax.
Real crime statistics show that murder and manslaughter decreased by 11.6% compared to the previous year and rape decreased by approximately 9.4%.
It’s important to note that the Right is led by an indicted criminal Donald Trump, while fear-mongering about ‘rising crime.’
Trump was also found responsible for rape and fraud. Trump’s crimes have been excused and justified and denied, while he pins false crimes on innocent people; for example, Trump and Vance have incited violent threats in Springfield, Ohio against Haitians based on lies.
Donald Trump is not new to incitement, he has done it all the time he has been in the political spotlight from telling his supporters that he will pay the bail if they attack protesters to the repeated caravans on right-wing social media and radicalization. the Pittsburgh synagogue mass shooter for the deadly suicide coup that took place on January 6, 2021.
Speaking of which, on Tuesday the FBI reported that Justin LaGesse pleaded guilty to the crime of destroying property during the deadly 1/6 riot and on January 6 the accused Kenneth and Caleb Fuller from Minnesota, accused of pushing the policy line, rejecting the plea offer and will. proceeded to trial in January.
In the 43 months since January 6, 2021, “more than 1,488 people have been indicted in nearly all 50 states for crimes related to the violation of the US Capitol, including nearly 550 people charged with assault or obstructing law enforcement, a felony.”
But the right-wing media continued to whitewash 1/6, with Trump saying he would pardon offenders, including those who attacked law enforcement, and Republican lawmakers speaking out against the accused. The most important point is that it is not a crime when doing it.
The law is what it says it is.
That’s why conservatives are hiding the good news about the drop in violent crime under President Bidenwhile ignoring his own leader who was found guilty by a jury of his peers for 34 crimes. While people are outraged at this appalling hypocrisy, they don’t realize that populist strongman types like Trump use the “rule by decree” method of power, which is what they say is the law and nothing else.
The dark and gloomy worldview presented on one side of the political spectrum is out of touch with reality. The economy is recovering well, the stock market is hitting new highs, but you’d never know about the epistemic closure of the right-wing media.
This pattern is rife with disinformation to blow smoke around wannabe dictators who are imitating the blatant manipulation tactics of the Russian media.
