“I regret how I ended up being honest, even though I feel like I’m usually very private about it,” Evans, 31, said on Friday, August 30, episode of the podcast “Almost Famous”.
He continued, “Even the little things you give to people – like the way people solve things or make their own twists, or make assumptions – can just be perceived in a way that you don’t want them to. .”
Evans vied for the affections of Echard, 31, in the season 16 of Scholar in 2022. After they ended their relationship on the show, the couple reconnected but eventually broke up in 2022.

Following the split from Echard, Evans struck up a friendship with Glaze, 30. Fans were quick to suspect that there was something more to the relationship, but it wasn’t until January that the twosome took their romance public. “Justin is my boyfriend,” Evans said E! News in time. “We’re dating.”
After months of Evans and Glaze sharing their relationship online, fans noticed that the duo stopped sharing details earlier this summer. In August, Glaze exclusively told Us Weekly in the famous Average Golf Tournament, he and Evans took the “everyday” stuff.

Evans, for his part, noted that the breakup was “painful” for him and Glaze. “We are both trying to navigate and love each other through it,” she said there. “We are on good terms.”

When asked by the cohost Ben Higgins whether he thought it was “worth it” to pursue a relationship with a friend, Evans got emotional.
“I think the honest truth is that it’s really worth it,” he said. “Justin and I’s friendship has definitely changed, it’s like we’re so close that it’s normal for someone to start dating someone else.”
Evans noted that the two were “actually dating but not kissing” when they were friends.
“I think if you love someone and you think there might be something else, give it a try,” she said. “Because what we have in our relationship is really fun, and that’s the way it is, it’s the best. I’ve never had someone who is my best friend who is also my partner. It’s really special, and I think it works with the right people and tools the right one and the right headroom and all those things.
He continued, “So if you’re someone special to you, it’s worth it. And even if it’s just for the season of your life, like, you can have the best season of your life.
