PM Modi took a swipe at the opposition saying that some people are full of negativity who aim at the unity and integrity of India and want to divide the country.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday accused the opposition of insulting and mocking him during his first 100 days as prime minister in his third term. He said that instead of reacting to the insult, he was focused on completing the development work on his agenda in 100 days.
Addressing a gathering at the launch event in Ahmedabad in Gujarat, the prime minister said that in the first 100 days of the third BJP-led central government, work has started on projects worth Rs 15 lakh crore.
“In the first 100 days of the third term, they (the opposition) ridiculed and insulted me. I decided not to respond to insults but to ensure the completion of the government’s agenda within 100 days,” he said.
He further hit out at the opposition saying that some people are full of negativity targeting the unity and integrity of India and want to divide the country.
PM Modi assured the people that the government is focused on improving people’s lives.

In the last 100 days, I have spared no effort to complete the 100-day agenda. I have left no stone unturned in India and Abroad. You have sent me to Delhi. I have not seen day and night for the last 100 days. Be it in the country or abroad done, no stone was left unturned. Work has started on a project worth Rs 15 lakh crore, and we are making rapid progress on this village or city, we focus on improving people’s lives.
The prime minister also greeted and thanked the people for giving him the opportunity to serve the country for the third time in a row.
“I am here for the first time after being sworn in as Prime Minister for the third term… You all have shown and given me great love and support… This is my birthplace and I thank you for coming here to bless me .…After 60 years, the country took a decision and made history. They elected the same government to serve the country for the third term…This is a great event of the country’s Democracy…” he added.
He further acknowledged the new challenges due to heavy rains, saying, “We have seen heavy rains recently, resulting in loss of life and property damage. State and central governments are working hard to ease the pain of those affected. For those who are in hospital, I wish them a speedy recovery .This is my first visit to Gujarat.Gujarat is my janbhoomi.If a son goes back to his roots, it gives him new energy.
Projects Worth Rs 8000 Crore Laid, Launched
PM Modi is visiting his home state for the first time after the Lok Sabha polls on Sunday. On Monday, the foundation stone was inaugurated and laid for several major development projects in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, with a combined value of over Rs 8,000 crore.
The project includes the quadrupling of the Samakhiali-Gandhidham and Gandhidham-Adipur railway lines, the development of good roads in the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) area, and the construction of flyovers at major junctions including Bakrol, Hathijan, Ramol, and Panjarpol.
He also met the beneficiaries of ‘PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijlee Yojna’, a free electricity scheme in the state capital Gandhinagar. He also inaugurated the 4th Global Renewable Energy Investors Meet and Expo (RE-INVEST) at Mahatma Mandir in Gujarat.
