As if by design, liberals who hang on every word from Mockingbird propagandist outlets like the New York Times and Politico woke up this morning to two inaccurate, yet reassuring news stories from each of these media conglomerates.
Politico published an article titled “Trump Won By Less Than 50 Percent. Why Is Everyone Calling It A Landslide?” when the New York Times wrote, “The ‘Landslide’ That Wasn’t: Trump and Allies Pump Up Quick Victory.”
In the first place under the headline, NY Times White House Correspondent Peter Bake writes:
The latest polls show that Donald J. Trump won the popular vote by one of the smallest margins since the 19th century. But Mr. Trump claimed a “strong mandate.”
Politico’s Michael Schaffer was blunt in the first place, stating, “The right and the left have bought into the narrative of a dramatic victory. They’re wrong.”
But are they wrong?
In 2012, the San Francisco Giants swept the Detroit Tigers in the World Series, winning four straight games. That was the last 12 years, where the World Series has occurred in each subsequent season. At the same time, there were only four elections, including 2012 and 2024.
Before the 2012 sweep of the World Series, the last sweep was 22 years earlier in 1990 when the Cincinnati Reds swept the Oakland A’s.
In one of the World Series, it does not matter what the individual game score is. Even if they win by only one run, win win. But the sweep is monumental!
Well, get out the brooms because “brooms” is exactly what Donald Trump did in the 2024 Presidential Election.
Not only did President Trump win 312 electoral votes to 226 and the popular vote, the first time Republicans have done so in 20 years, he also sweeping every “swing state” from 2020 and picked up a win in Nevada, where he broke the four-Election winning streak for Democrats.
Trump won Florida by more than 13 points, or nearly 1.5 million votes. This includes ‘yuge’ wins ex Fortress Democrats of Miami-Dade County by earth-shattering 11.5%. This small victory may be the biggest swing district since Joe Biden ‘won’ Miami-Dade by 7.3% in 2020.
That’s an 18.8% swing in Florida’s most populous county.
Voters in the United States are pretty solid in one direction. Republican candidates statewide are unlikely to win California, New York, or Massachusetts, while Democrats are unlikely to win Texas, Florida, or Oklahoma.
Contrary to the “reality check,” Kamala Harris won all but two states that did not require voters to show ID (Pennsylvania and Nevada). Weird, huh? Of the 35 states that still require voter ID, President Trump won all but six: Virginia, Colorado, Delaware, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire.
However, the ‘not a landslide’ does not end with the Presidency. Republicans flipped seven seats in the House to maintain their majority, now at 219 to 213. To be fair, Democrats flipped six with three races still undecided, but Republicans lead in two of the three races.
Furthermore, the GOP completed the trifecta by winning the Senate with a 53-47 majority.
Absolutely ‘not a landslide’ though.
Unfortunately for the Mockingbird store mentioned above, the ‘no landslide‘ does not end there.
- The GOP took back the Michigan House after two years of a Democratic majority
- In Minnesota, they bring the border to the tie
- In Pennsylvania, the GOP closed the gap to one in the House while retaining control of the Commonwealth Senate.
- In New Hampshire, the GOP expanded control of the House and gained a supermajority in the Senate
- In Iowa and South Carolina, the GOP also took supermajorities
All of this was done while spending in state legislative races was $175 million to just $50 million, according to NBC.
Despite the totalnot a landslide’ of the GOP this election cycle under the leadership of RNC Chairman Michael Whatley and Co-Chairman Lara Trump, President Trump is still facing apparent obfuscation from the Establishment Neocons in the Senate. This prompted Matt Gaetz to resign as Attorney General in the face of years of sexual assault allegations being investigated by the DOJ without charge.
And as we move forward, new allegations against Defense Secretary appointee Pete Hegseth look like a cover-up attempt to obstruct one of President Trump’s nominees.
As Rumble podcast host Dan Bongino states:
