Tyler Stephenson homered and had three hits, including one RBI in the ninth for Cincinnati, which rallied from an early 6-1 deficit to end a three-game losing streak.

Oakland’s JJ Bleday went 5-for-5 with a home run and two doubles and scored three runs in his first career five-hit game. Lawrence Butler had his third homer game of the season for the A’s, who had a three-game winning streak snapped.
Angels 3, Tigers 0
Zach Neto hit a two-run home run, Jack Kochanowicz pitched six strong innings and visiting Los Angeles snapped a seven-game losing streak with a win over Detroit.
Kochanowicz (2-3) gave up five hits and did not issue a walk while striking out four. Ben Joyce got the last four outs for his third save. Mickey Moniak added two hits for the Angels and a run.
Zach McKinstry had three hits for the Tigers, who had their six-game winning streak snapped. Detroit left 10 runners on base. Tigers starter Keider Montero (4-6) gave up three runs and five hits in five innings.
Rangers 2, White Sox 1
Corey Seager hit his 200th career home run and Nathan Eovaldi pitched seven shutout innings to outduele Nick Nastrini as visiting Texas edged Chicago to secure a three-game sweep.
Seager’s fourth solo shot gave him 30 runs this season, his third campaign with 30 or more homers. Eovaldi (10-7) gave up one hit and two walks fanned 10 as the Rangers finished 7-0 this season against the White Sox.
Nastrini (0-6), a rookie right-hander, kept Chicago afloat with six innings of one-run ball in his first major league start since June 8. Andrew Benintendi homered in the ninth for the White Sox, who were swept for the 21st time this season.
Cardinals 4, Padres 1
Sonny Gray scattered three hits over six innings as St. Louis defeated visiting San Diego to salvage a split of the four-game series.
Gray (12-9) allowed one run, struck out four and walked none. Ryan Helsley shut out the Padres in the ninth to save 41. Masyn Winn hit a homer for the Cardinals, who won for the sixth time in nine games.
Jackson Merrill hit a home run to account for the Padres offense. San Diego is one game behind the Arizona Diamondbacks in the battle for the top wild card in the National League.
Brewers 6, Giants 0
Aaron Civale threw seven scoreless innings and William Contreras stole home as Milwaukee won the series over visiting San Francisco.
Garrett Mitchell homered and Jackson Chourio drove in a pair of runs for the Brewers, who won the final two games of a three-game set. Civale (5-8) allowed just two hits and two walks. He struck out seven. Aaron Ashby closed out the win with two perfect innings.
Contreras stole home in the third inning to make it 3-0 and added an RBI single in the fourth to close out the scoring. Giants starter Hayden Birdsong (3-4) was tagged with five runs on four hits in 3 2/3 innings.
Mets 3, Diamondbacks 2
Jose Iglesias delivered another timely hit, lacing a tiebreaking single in the ninth inning to give New York a win over Arizona in the deciding game of the three-game series in Phoenix.
Pete Alonso and Francisco Lindor hit solo shots for the Mets. New York improved to 4-3 on the 10-game road trip as reliever Jose Butto (6-3) got the win and Edwin Diaz recorded his 15th save.
Randal Grichuk hit a two-run homer in the third and finished 2-for-3 for Arizona. Reliever Justin Martinez (5-5) took the loss.
Marlins 12, Rockies 8
Derek Hill homered twice and singled to highlight Miami’s season-high 18-hit streak as the Marlins beat Colorado in Denver.
Kyle Stowers had three hits and four RBI, Ali Sanchez and Otto Lopez also had three hits, and Connor Norby, Vidal Brujan and Jake Burger contributed two hits each for Miami, which got a split of the four-game series.
Brendan Rodgers went deep for the second time among three hits for the Rockies. Brenton Doyle singled, doubled, homered and drove in two.
Blue Jays 2, Red Sox 0
Bowden Francis pitched seven innings of one-hit ball en route to his fourth straight victory as visiting Toronto beat Boston to split the team’s four-game series.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Ernie Clement each went 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Blue Jays. Francis (8-3) worked 5 1/3 hitless innings to start the game after carrying a no-hitter into the ninth inning on Saturday against the Los Angeles Angels.
Chad Green closed out the two-hitter with a scoreless ninth inning for his 16th save. Red Sox starter Kutter Crawford (8-12) tossed 6 2/3 innings of two-run ball.
Phillies 5, Braves 4
Brandon Marsh hit a three-run homer and Nick Castellanos added the go-ahead two-run shot as host Philadelphia rallied to beat Atlanta.
In the opener of a crucial four-game series between the top two teams in the National League East, the Phillies overcame a 4-0 deficit to post their fifth win in six games. The victory may have come at a cost, as All-Star third baseman Alec Bohm exited early with discomfort in his left hand. The team said X-rays on the hand were negative.
Matt Olson hit his 24th and 25th home runs for the Braves, who now trail the Phillies by six games in the division. Atlanta entered with nine wins out of 11.
