According to prosecutors, the girl instructed police that she did not want to tell the boyâs father that she was pregnant, admitting she was in an abusive relationship.
The medical specialist, per CPS, called the child âunable to crawl, walk, talk or make communicative sounds and make repetitive âself-pleasureâ actions, like rocking.â In addition, he claimed that he was âmalnourished, unhealthy, dehydrated, had an untreated cleft lip and palate, swollen abdomen, prominent diaper rash, and a lot of muscle lossâ â and âbesides having floppy limbs, fingers legs swollen in irregular places and red to the outer part.â
He mentioned that the childâs growth was âequal to that of a 10-month-old,â âdue to the acute nature of the neglect.â
However, CPS famously, the child began to âvocalizeâ in search of âadult comfortâ and âcry so that he wants to be understoodâ after entering the hospital â and began to âcontinue to move forward.â Regardless of the two surgeries to repair the cleft palate, he still wants additional surgical procedures.
