It’s a great date night for Lady Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky.
Friday, September 2, the couple came by boat to the premiere of Joker: Folie à Deux at the Venice International Film Festival.
Gaga, 38, is a hotly anticipated star Joker continue, sporting a black minidress with white polka dots, sheer black tights and black heels. She wore her platinum blonde hair pulled back halfway up, and even though it was late afternoon, she completed her look with a pair of dark sunglasses. Polansky, 46, also wore dark shades to complete his black outfit.
After the pier at Hotel Cipriani, the two were photographed kissing. Polansky stepped to the side as Gaga took a selfie with a fan.
Earlier this summer, Gaga confirmed her engagement to the businessman when he attends the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The footage shown through Instagram on July 28 show he spoke for Gabriel AttalFrench Prime Minister, and introduced Polansky as “my fiance, Michael.”
Gaga sparked engagement rumors in April when she was spotted in West Hollywood wearing a giant diamond on her left ring finger. She and Polansky were first linked in December 2019 and later quarantined together during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. The following year, she revealed The Hollywood Reporter that he is “the dog and the person I love is my whole life.”
However, in early 2023 rumors began to circulate that she and Polansky had had problems in their partnership. Professionally, Gaga returns to the big screen as Harley Quinn Joker: Folie à Deuxwhich hits theaters on October 4. The ensemble cast includes Joaquin Phoenix, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Kenner and Zazie Beetz.
Before the release of the film, the casting director Francine Maisler revealed that Gaga was not the first choice for Quinn, the credit director Todd Phillips with the idea of casting him opposite Phoenix, 49, who plays the titular supervillain.
“He’s so good in (the movie), you. He’ll surprise you,” Maisler said during a panel at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in July, noting, “I saw it and was very surprised.”
