America will never have Ellen DeGeneres again.
According to The Wrap, DeGeneres and his wife Portia de Rossi have moved to the English countryside and put their Montecito property on the market.
Besides, they are plans not to return to the United Statessources told this outlet, allegedly because Donald Trump was re-elected as President this month.
DeGeneres endorsed Kamala Harris in the middle of her campaign to defeat Trump and, of course, on same-sex marriage.
There is concern among many observers that the incoming Trump administration will roll back various rights, laws and regulations – including the legality of gay marriage.
We can’t tell if DeGeneres is worried that the union will be canceled under President Trump.
They may not want to live in a country where so many people vote for someone who has been convicted of 34 felonies… .
DeGeneres was one of the most popular celebrities in the country over the years when she hosted her own talk show.
But in 2020, the comedian became the center of an unexpected scandal after several employees accused him of creating an abusive work environment.
Often dubbed The Queen of Nice, Ellen was apparently seen as The Queen of Mean at the time after several editorials were published about the antics behind Ellen and her producers.
“The ‘being good’ nonsense only happens when the cameras are on. It’s all for show,” a former worker told BuzzFeed News, for example.
DeGeneres was basically canceled because of the allegations.
He’s tried to deny actual allegations of harassment here and there, mostly going back to the line that he’s unmotivated and not a cruel boss.
However, Ellen has tried to argue that she is not the angel that the media previously made her out to be.
“I’m a lot of things, but I’m not evil,” DeGeneres told fans on the comedy show this summer. “I can be demanding, impatient, and difficult. I am a strong woman.”
DeGeneres is coming out this year with a special that she says will be her last, possibly setting the stage for her departure from entertainment in a move as reported above.
Ellen and Portia got married in 2008 and last week were spotted visiting Jeremy Clarkson’s British pub, The Farmer’s Dog, located in Burford, England.
The pair watched The Corrs perform an acoustic show there and were joined by singer Natalie Imbruglia, famous for her 1997 hit “Torn”.
DeGeneres has moved to the Cotswolds in south-central England, The Wrap now writes, adding that her Montecito mansion, about 90 minutes north of Los Angeles, has been listed or will be listed.
“I decided to start gardening,” DeGeneres said bitterly about her latest special about what she’s been up to. “I got a chicken. Let me see what else I can tell you about what happened… Oh yeah, I got fired from show business… Well, ‘good’ girls are not good. That’s the title.”
