Is Donald Trump really praising Diddy and even defending him? Actually… yes.
Maybe the disgraced former president should worry less about Taylor Swift’s endorsement and more about her.
After Diddy’s indictment revealed gruesome details about his alleged crimes, much they’re far from rappers.
Now, as a fake photo trying to place Vice President Harris at one of Diddy’s parties continues, the Trumps have it real a widespread comment. No need to believe us: there’s a video!
Are the rumors true? Is Donald Trump really defending Diddy?
Let’s back up for a moment:
A few weeks before the election, the disgraced former president posted a fake photo that appeared to show Vice President Kamala Harris at Diddy’s party decades ago. He posted it to his own social media site.
The original photo features Montel Williams, the most important not in an attempt to trade sex and racketeering charges. It’s Diddy. Trump’s intentions, if anyone has the mental capacity to do anything at this point, are clear.
Trump appears alongside Diddy in several photos. Social media commentators have pointed out that she has more photos with Diddy than with her bad son, Eric Trump. This may be hyperbole.
Because Trump is defending Diddy — in real life, not in photoshop — this attempt to smear him is silly.
This happened in NBC’s worst mistake, The Apprentice. This was in a 2012 episode of the reality series.
“I love Diddy,” Donald Trump declared in the episode. “I think he’s a good person. I will stay for him. Indeed, water always finds its own level.
When Donald Trump defended Diddy, what did he say?
The context of Trump defending Diddy is important. It is not pivotal – because it is mostly a refutation of the attempt to smear Vice President Kamala Harris by manufacturing shady ties to Diddy.
Donald Trump, who is a criminal himself, did not refer to Diddy’s allegations today.
However, he spoke of vague advice The Apprentice contestant Aubrey O’Day that Diddy, her former employer, may not be a good person.
Trump made these comments in the first episode of the twelfth season of The Apprentice.
The very strange series ran from 2004 to 2017. Many Americans did not know about it until it launched a funny political campaign in 2015.
NBC, the same network that Matt Lauer has been with for years, must have made some choices when they gave Donald Trump the platform. The show hasn’t aged well — but then, none of Trump’s comments about Diddy.
Does being associated with a notorious criminal reflect that politician?
It could be. Of course there are photos of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell and Harvey Weinstein with many politicians.
Why? Because too much of what politicians do is waste time posing for photos with donors, celebrities, or just other people at parties. He also shook hands until he was injured, kissed babies, and participated in talk shows.
Does it matter if Trump defends Diddy? Perhaps. It’s probably more important that Trump has a similar history of bragging about sexual assault and being held accountable in court. And it’s probably more important that the policies they aim to make the United States a safer place for sexual predators than for survivors and potential victims.
Defending Diddy is an expression of Trump’s bad judgment, and maybe not on purpose an expression of solidarity with fellow monsters.
