As Republicans and Democrats prepare for next week’s vice presidential debate, exclusive polls show that this is an event that has the potential to change everything.

Two-thirds of Democrats believe that the vice presidential candidate has a significant impact on the overall presidential ticket, according to a poll by Prolific for The Independent.

Three out of four Americans (75 percent) plan to watch the VP debate, according to the poll, which surveyed a nationally representative sample of 2,000 participants on the Prolific platform on September 22.

On Saturday, Donald Trump claimed Vice President Kamala Harris was “born” “mentally defective” and “mentally disabled.”

“Donald Trump finally told the voters the truth: He has nothing ‘inspiring’ to offer the American people, only darkness,” said Harris-Walz Spokesperson Sarafina Chitika.

“He has no plan to grow our economy, no vision to reduce costs, and no plan to fix our broken immigration system. He created a bipartisan border agreement because he is more interested in fanning the flames of hatred and division than providing real solutions for our country. The American people deserve better than Trump’s bleak and regressive Project 2025 agenda. This November, they will elect Vice President Harris for a new way.

Kamala Harris on Sunday picked up the support of another prominent opponent of Donald Trump in the Republican Party, a sign that the GOP’s “#NeverTrump” wing is still behind her.

Jeff Flake, a former senator from Arizona who is leaving Congress in 2019, issued the endorsement in a statement released on Twitter. He further explained his motivation in an interview Sunday on ABC This week.

“I will support Kamala Harris for President and Tim Walz for Vice President,” Flake wrote in a post accompanying the video message endorsement. “I have served with Kamala in the US Senate. I have also served with Tim in the DPR.”

Donald Trump attended the college football game between Georgia and Alabama on Saturday and part of the meal request was two McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish sandwiches with cheese, Domino’s pizza, stadium hot dogs and Diet Coke.

Alabama businessman Ric Mayers, who invited Trump to the game on Saturday, told AL.com about Trump’s order.

Trump famously likes McDonald’s and Diet Coke.

Reports over the years have indicated that the former president chose the Filet-O-Fish Sandwich, which is fried fish fillet breaded with tartar sauce and American cheese between steamed buns.

A recent survey of Pew Research Center found that supporters of Donald Trump see immigrants significantly more negatively than supporters of Kamala Harris.

When it comes to mass deportation of immigrants living in the country illegally, 88 percent of Trump supporters say they favor him, while 27 percent of Harris supporters oppose him.

Eighty percent of Harris supporters believe that undocumented immigrants should be allowed to stay in the country legally if they marry a U.S. citizen. Only 37 percent of Trump supporters supported it.

Only 48 percent of Trump supporters believe more civilian refugees should be admitted to the U.S., while 85 percent of Harris supporters are in favor.

Most Trump supporters, about 29 percent, believe immigrants should be welcomed into the country to ensure a diverse immigrant population but 72 percent of Harris supporters agree with that statement.
