‘Golden Bachelorette’ Dates & Premise
The first season of The Golden Bachelorette will premiere with a 2-hour episode on Friday, September 18, at 8 pm ET, with new episodes dropping weekly every Wednesday.
“For the first time in the history of the Bachelor franchise, 24 seasoned veterans in their prime will roll up their sleeves and step into the spotlight, all competing to make a lasting impression on Golden Bachelorette Joan Vassos,” ABC said of the upcoming season. .
“The men competing for the last rose have gone through the heights of love, leading moments of joy and heartache, and they come with hope, eager to foster a relationship that can lead to endless possibilities.”
Who is Joan Vassos?
If you’re a member of Bachelor Nation, you know the whole Joan Vassos story.
A private school administrator from Rockville, Maryland, Vassos, 61, appeared on The Golden Bachelor first, vying for the heart of Gerry Turner.
Joan removed herself due to medical problems with her daughter. During her time on the show, it was clear just how much her family meant to her. This includes her late husband, John.
John died after 32 years of marriage of pancreatic cancer. “He is the husband that makes me feel safe and loved,” the most recent Bachelorette wrote on Instagram in January.

According to the master spoiler steve fact, Joan’s final four will include the following applicants:
Chock Chapple, 60, an insurance executive from Wichita, Kansas; Guy Gansert, 66, an ER doctor from Reno, Nevada; Jordan Heller, 61, a sales manager from Chicago; and Pascal Ibgui, 69, a salon owner also from Chicago.
Only Chock, Guy, and Pascal made it to the Fantasy Suite round.
Steve said Joan will only have two dates a night during the all-important point in the competition. And she’s still in a relationship with one of the guys (no pun intended)!
Well, Joan might be the doctor’s wife, because she’ll end the season by giving Guy Gansert one last rose.
But when the couple has found love, it seems that they are in no rush to make it to the altar.
Is Joan Vassos Dating Guy Gansert?
While Steve can confirm that Joan and Guy are still together, there is no word yet on whether they are engaged. This will come as no surprise to fans who know Joan’s views on moving quickly.
“I’m probably not going to get married in a hurry – and not just because of what happened with Gerry and Theresa,” Joan recently explained to CNN.
“I think it takes some time to get to know somebody. In the wild, in the real world, you have to spend some time there.
“If it ends up being an engagement, I’m open. I believe this process works. I’ve seen it work for many couples on The Bachelor, so I believe in the process. Joan added.
“If it ends up being an engagement, that’s great. When it’s over, you and I will know each other better in the outside world, that’s perfect too.
Well, it looks like Gerry and Theresa’s quick divorce may have Joan feeling a little giddy about the prospect of walking down the aisle.
