Tuesday’s mail page found them agreeing with the Take-Two boss, as one reader expected Black Ops 6 to be the biggest yet Call of duty in the year.

Pre-launch line-up
Count me in as someone else who’s getting really excited about the Switch 2, now that things seem to be getting closer to an announcement. I don’t know anything for sure, despite the rumors, but I think there is reason to hope that it will open this year.
I understand the logic of not wanting to put people off buying a Switch now at Christmas but consider the rumors that the console is also compatible. It’s more than a rumor really, it’s the only thing we know about the console with 99% certainty.
So, if it’s backwards compatible, not only does Nintendo not have to lose software sales by promoting their new consoles this year, they make a good ‘launch window’ selection of games. After all, if the launch window can extend beyond the actual launch day, does that mean it could be earlier?

Return of the White Wolf
I’ve been rumored since forever that Ciri will be the main character in the next Witcher game and I’m looking forward to that. I don’t think we need a new trilogy of Geralt games. It would just be ridiculous at that time and even just a change of character can help to make it look fresher than they are, which I think Assassin’s Creed will get away with as much as not.
But, really, I just want to see CD Projekt make 100% current gen games and in the franchise that made them famous. It’s been eight years since the Blood And Wine DLC and I’m looking forward to seeing what they can do now, with all the years of technical improvement and experience in creating Cyberpunk 2077.

Check the facts
I’m afraid, for me, Sony releasing all PlayStation 4 exclusives on Switch 2 seems like one of the best ideas. It makes sense on every level, but I just can’t see Sony doing it. Lego Horizon Adventures is an interesting decision, but for now it’s the only one and I think it’s a good idea to consider something else.
Also, it’s not like the successful Lego game on Switch means The Last Of Us will be. In fact, I would be surprised if. And I can guarantee that the average Nintendo fan doesn’t want to pay £50. It’s all a good idea in theory but I don’t see it happening.

Save for the last minute
Good on Nacon for buying Tango Gameworks, so they don’t have to split-up. Although I imagine many have moved, because it’s not like people can wait to save or not. Surely Microsoft could have managed this before just announcing that it was shutting down suddenly, surely a small proportion of the $3 trillion it could have paid?
I have reservations about whether the Hi-Fi Rush sequel will sell well, considering the original isn’t even on Game Pass. But then maybe that stopped as many sales as inspiration, given that many people probably did not try but at the same time would not have bought because they know it is ‘free’ in Game Pass.
Who can say until we try it but I hope this is also a good opportunity for The Evil Within 3. I know not everyone likes the original, but I think it’s more original and interesting than other survival horror games made today.

A never-ending duty
So this year’s Call Of Duty is going to be huge, right? Last year’s Modern Warfare 3 wasn’t supposed to be a complete game, so it’s understandable why it was bad (I never bought it) but it had no bearing on its popularity or success.
Between the marketing blitz Microsoft will give and the fact that it actually looks good Black Ops 6 could be the biggest Call Of Duty in the last few generations. If it’s good I don’t see a problem with that but the comedown is likely to take a long time, even if it’s been duds times in a row, so that the most other generations dominate in the bag!

The Inbetweeners
So what do we think will be Sony’s first game after Astro Bot? It probably won’t be Wolverine, which won’t be until the fall of next year. There must be something between then and now, but what?
Unfortunately, it’s just an educated guess that you can make another Sony live service game, whose name I have to look up and it’s called Fairgame $. Does anyone want to bet on something else?
There was Physint and Death Standing 2 at some point, which were PlayStation 5 exclusives, but Sony didn’t make them – like Stellar Blade and Final Fantasy Rebirth – and I think that will become more common in the future.
However, there are many Sony developers who haven’t announced anything in years, so what are Housemarque, Naughty Dog, Bluepoint, Insomniac, and Guerilla (no we can’t guess for the last two)? Maybe the other readers are right and they’re all working on PlayStation 6 games right now, so we won’t know for years.

GC: There is also a remake of Until Dawn coming out this year.
Frankly tired
Funny enough to read that ‘erotic’ photo opportunities have been removed from Dead Rising. Of course they show what kind of sleazy photojournalist Frank West is. They are paparazzi. Anything that shocks or frightens enters his camera.
I’m so glad it doesn’t happen again in real life. glance
Why don’t they rebalance and have men in underwear and questionable positions?
I wonder now if they have toned down the gore and violence. Hold back.

Poor time
I found the comments from the Take-Two boss about Game Pass and other subscription services very interesting. I’m sure no one expected GTA 6 to be in one of them, but I found the other thing they said more interesting:
‘People consume fewer hours of interactive entertainment in a given month than linear entertainment,’ according to him. ‘And in that consumption, fewer titles are used in interactive entertainment than in linear entertainment.’
I’m sure they have the data and statistics to back it up, but it just confirms what they’ve been thinking for a long time. The reason many live service games fail, even the good ones, is that people don’t have time to play more than one or two and, frankly, don’t want to waste their free time. video games.
If I were a publisher, I would just stick with reasonably priced, less than 12 hours, AAA games. People have time, they know they can fit into their schedule, and they know it won’t take over their lives. The problem with games at the moment is that the main alternative to a game that never ends is a game that almost never ends, thanks to open world bloat.
Shorter and cheaper but equally high quality should be the goal. The only one I can think of right now is Astro Bot, but there needs to be more.

Is the next Switch officially named? Otherwise, I predict it will be called… Super Switch!

GC: Nintendo has not said anything, except that they will open before April.
Here’s a sad anniversary for you all: it’s been 10 years this week since the first PT demo was released. RIP Silent Hills, we never knew you.
