Dr. Anthony Fauci, former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, acknowledged that some of the strictest COVID-19 guidelines, including social distancing and child masks, are not based on concrete scientific evidence.
The admission was made during an extended interview with the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic earlier this year, details of which were released ahead of Dr. Fauci on Monday.

According to the transcript released by the Republic, during the January interview, Dr. Fauci announced that the widely enforced “6 feet” social distancing guidelines were “just emerging” and not based on any data.
This directive had a significant impact, resulting in the closure of schools and small businesses across the country. Ironically, however, Fauci allowed the George Floyd protests and riots to wreak havoc across the country.
Below is the transcribed interview of Dr. Fauci via the COVID Select Subcommittee:
GET AWAY FROM SOCIAL: The “6 feet” social distancing recommendation forced on Americans by federal health officials is arbitrary and not based on science.
Majority Adviser: “Do you remember when the discussion about, kind of, at least a 6 foot threshold started?“
Dr. Fauci: “6 feet at school?”
Majority Adviser: “Six feet in total. I mean, 6 feet applied to businesssāā
Dr. Fauci: “Yes.”
Majority Adviser: “– It applies at school, it applies here. At least how the messaging applies is that 6 feet is the distance to go –“
Dr. Fauci: “You know, I don’t remember. It sort of just showed up. I don’t remember, like, the discussion of whether it should be 5 or 6 or whatever. It’s only 6 feet –“
Majority Adviser: “Have you seen any studies that support 6 feet?“
Dr. Fauci: “I didn’t know about the actual studies it would be a very difficult study.“
Francis Collins, the former director of the National Institutes of Health, admitted in a closed-door interview earlier this year that he had seen no scientific evidence that social distancing was a proven method of containing the virus.
The controversy goes beyond social distancing. During the pandemic, Americans were subject to strict mask mandates, with fines imposed on those who did not comply. The mandate includes everyone – from adults entering the business to children in school. Now, it appears that the directive was also issued without any scientific basis.
When asked about the evidence supporting the masking of children, Dr. Fauci is unclear.
Below is the transcribed interview of Dr. Fauci via the COVID Select Subcommittee:
MASKING: Dr. Fauci testified that he did not recall any supporting evidence for masking children. However, wearing masks has been linked to learning loss and severe speech development problems in American children.
Majority Adviser: “Do you recall any studies or data supporting masking for children?“
Dr. Fauci: “You know, I might, Mitch, but I don’t remember specifically who I was. I might have.“
Majority Adviser: “Since – there have been many studies that have come out since the pandemic started, but in this particular one, there are significant ones about the learning and speech and development problems associated with young children who wear masks while they are. they are growing. He cannot see his teacher speak and cannot learn to form words. Have you followed the study?“
Dr. Fauci: “Not. But I believe that there are many conflicting studies, some say, yes, there is an effect, and some say no. I still think that’s up in the air.“

So someone has it. Time and time again, we, including The Gateway Pundit, who have questioned every aspect of the COVID pandemic, from lockdown regimes and mask mandates to vaccines and potential treatments, have been proven right.
US Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), Ranking Member of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, joined Maria Bartiromo to discuss Fauci’s upcoming hearing on Monday.
Earlier this month, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) finally agreed to fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, site of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This admission directly contradicts the previous sworn statement by Dr. Anthony Fauci,
“Fauci lied. He committed a crime. It was clear there was a huge cover-up from the beginning,” wrote Sen. Paul.
