Death of Fatman Scoop Revealed
On Saturday, August 31, a message was shared through Scoop’s official Instagram account announcing the legendary and iconic rapper.
The message goes on to say, “Last night, the world lost a radiant soul, shining a light on the stage and real life.”
“Fatman Scoop is not only a world class player, he is a father, brother, uncle, and friend,” message continues. “She was the laughter in our lives, a constant source of support, unwavering strength, and courage.”
The announcement described Scoop as “the undisputed club voice.” Furthermore, the message concludes that Scoop will be in mourning. However, it is also noted that he will be celebrated “an incredible life and the countless lives he touched.”
“Fatman Scoop’s legacy is love and light, it will live on in our hearts and memories forever,” the message said.
According to TMZ, Fatman Scoop’s tour manager, Pure Cold, has also confirmed the rapper’s death. The manager reportedly posted the message via his Instagram account on Saturday, August 31.

Here’s What Was Reported About The Rapper Before It Was Revealed
According to the outlet, Scoop performed at Town Center Park in Hamden, Connecticut on Friday, August 30. During the performance, he appeared to have a medical emergency on stage.
At the time, it was reported that the 53-year-old had been transported to a local hospital. Later, Hamden Mayor Lauren Garrett released a statement asking the public to keep the rapper in their “thoughts and prayers”.
