Luke Bryan married my college sweetheart, Caroline Boyerin 2006. The two met seven years earlier when they were both students at Georgia Southern University. Luke is a senior while Caroline is a freshman, and they hit it off while out at a bar one night. Although they wound up breaking up, they reconnected five years later when Luke played a show in the college town, and Caroline was also around.
After the marriage of Lukas and Caroline in December 2006, they went on to have two children. His eldest son is Thomas Boyer “Bo” Bryan and his youngest son Tatum “Tate” Christopher Bryan. In addition to their two biological children, Luke and Caroline also began caring for their nephew and two nieces in 2014, after their parents passed away.
All of Luke’s biological and adopted children will be cheering him on at the 2024 CMA Awards. The “Country Girl” singer is hosting the event Peyton Manning. He is also scheduled to perform a medley of number one hits! Learn all about Luke and Caroline’s family below!
Bo & Tatum Bryan
Bo Bryan was born on March 18, 2008, which makes him 15 years old, while Tatum Bryan was born on August 11, 2010, making him 13 years old. Both boys are often featured on their parents’ Instagram accounts, with Caroline sharing plenty of home photos and videos to show what life is like in the Bryan household. Bo and Tatum seem to have inherited their parents’ goofy personalities, and they enjoy fishing as a hobby, just like their famous father. Over the years, Bo and Tatum have also appeared on various Luke Bryan shows.
“I was definitely in my golden years (with the kids),” Luke said people in July 2021. “I mean, it’s like the sweet spot of being a dad now and you can let him be involved.” He added, “His personality is completely different. He’s your friend. I mean, he’s still a kid, you still have to discipline him and you still have to teach him the rights and wrongs of life but he’s really transformed into your friend.
Now that his children are a little older, Luke admits that while he’s a country superstar to his fans, he’s still “just a dad” to his sons. “I’ll never forget For Father’s Day, my 15-year-old boy, he said, ‘Happy Father’s Day, Dad, to someone who is happier than anyone.’ I love that quote,” he said people in 2023. “They don’t know any different. When I come home, they don’t care. They don’t care if I’ve sold out 10 shows or whatever. They just want to go with dad and do dad and dad things. And it’s special when we all can do it together.
Tilden Cheshire
Through his sister, KellyLuke has three nieces and nephews. Kelly died unexpectedly in 2007 at the age of 39 from unknown causes. Seven years later, in 2014, her husband, Ben Lee Cheshirealso died, leaving three children without their parents. The youngest of the family, Tilden “Til” Cheshireat that time he was only 12 years old and Lukas and Caroline officially adopted him.
“We never thought twice about this,” admitted Caroline during the interview ABC News in 2017. “You know, it was never something that he and I had to sit down and talk about. ‘Should we take this?’ We just did it. Obviously, taking the 12-year-old is quite an adjustment for Caroline and Lukas, who have to start raising teenagers at the drop of a hat.
Til immediately becomes a big brother figure to Bo and Tate, who are six and four years old, respectively, when the family’s world is shaken. She has a strong bond with her two boys, who clearly adore her. “Can’t believe my little friend is 11 today,” Til wrote on Instagram in honor of Tate’s birthday in August 2021. “Happy birthday Tater Tot! Love you.”
In 2020, Til left Nashville to attend college at the University of Georgia. Caroline took to Instagram to describe her eldest son leaving the nest. “Leaving a big part of my heart today in Georgia,” she wrote, along with a photo of her and Til hugging. “Dreading this day for years, but I guess it’s time for Til to fly. Still can’t handle it now! Goodbye to college my sweet son.”
Til has been dating her boyfriend, Chloe, since July 2020. He posted his first photo with her in October of that year, and she has often appeared in Instagram photos since then. In July 2021, he also acknowledged his one-year anniversary on social media. “One year with this beautiful woman!” she gushed. “I’m glad you didn’t kill me yet. I love you.”
Like his brother, Til also enjoys fishing as a hobby. He was also on the football and baseball teams in high school. “Sometimes things end quickly and this is one of them,” he wrote in April 2020 as he reflected on his athletic career. “I just want to say thank you to football and baseball for all the memories that will last forever! Thank you to all my brothers and sisters who have been out there on the field and have supported me through all of this.
Jordan & Chris Cheshire
Jordan Cheshire and Chris Cheshire born April 7, 1995 and August 3, 1998. They were young and about to go to college when their father died, so Lukas and Caroline never officially adopted the girls. However, he finds himself alone after an unthinkable tragedy.
Jordan is a graduate of the University of Georgia. She has been in a long relationship with her current husband, Clint Eudyand announced their engagement in December 2020. The two married on September 5, 2021. Luke walked Jordan down the aisle and shared a special dance with her for the occasion. Jordan’s Instagram page reveals that he likes to hang out with friends and spend time at the beach and on vacation.
Meanwhile, Kris graduated from the University of Alabama. Like her sister, Kris has been dating for a long time — her boyfriend’s name Cam Davis. Kris often posts photos at the beach, at parties and events with friends, and at weddings.
In June 2021, Jordan and Kris announced that they were launching an online boutique together. At the time, he confirmed that the store, Shop Chesh, would be coming “soon,” but did not give an official launch date. The brothers took a photo in Atlanta to share the exciting news.
Lukas and Caroline have fully embraced their role as parental figures to Jordan, Kris and Til. Unfortunately, losing Kelly and Lee is not the only tragedy Luke and his family have experienced. Brother singer, Chrisdied in a car accident in 1996, too. Lukas was 20 years old at that time. “The losses we’ve been through have given me an appreciation for the preciousness and fragility of life,” Lukas said. “And yes, I carry that mentality into my performances, and also into the way I deal with people every day.
