Palestinian officials said an Israeli strike early Tuesday killed at least seven people in the southern Gaza town of Khan Younis. At least 15 others, including women and children, were injured in the attack, he said.

Thousands of people fled southern Lebanon, jamming the highway to Beirut in the biggest exodus since the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah war.
It was a staggering one-day toll on a country still reeling from a deadly attack on communications equipment the previous week.
Lebanon blamed the attack on Israel, but Israel neither confirmed nor denied responsibility.
Hezbollah launched more than 100 projectiles into Israel on Friday, the military said, reaching deep into Israel, including around the northern city of Haifa and part of the occupied West Bank.
Most of the missiles were intercepted but two people were lightly injured when they exploded in northern Israel.

The war began when Hamas-led terrorists stormed southern Israel on October 7, killing around 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and kidnapping around 250.
About 100 prisoners are still being held in Gaza, and a third of them are believed to be dead.
United Arab Emirates airlines cancel flights to Lebanon
