Prince Harry stayed booked and busy during my latest trip to New York City.
Almost a year after his last visit to the Big Apple with his wife Meghan MarkleThe Duke of Sussex, 40, arrived in New York on Sunday, September 22, for a planned solo trip.

Speaking at The Diana Award panel on Monday, September 23, Harry helped recognize young people struggling to make a difference in the world.
“I respect you, at your age, at this stage, to have the confidence that you do, and to be able to speak as clearly and passionately as you do,” he said. “I know my mom would be so proud of you… all award winners.”
Organization – set up in memory of Princess Diana after his death in 1997 – aimed at empowering young people to lead change through several initiatives. Each year, the organization honors 20 recipients as Legacy Award winners.
How Fatherhood Affected Prince Harry’s Work in Angola
During an event in support of The HALO Trust, Harry – who shares son Archie, 5, and daughter Lilibet, 3, with Meghan – reflected on how parents have an impact on a number of causes near and dear to them.
“A lot has changed in my life and the world since 2019 when I first visited (Angola),” he said on Monday. “In those five years, I have become a father twice. While you don’t need children to have a stake in the future of our planet, I know my mother must have feared that any child or grandchild would live in a world still full of landmines.
Prince Harry Family Reunion Via FaceTime
Before taking the stage at Concordia’s 2024 Annual Summit on Monday, Harry was able to FaceTime his wife and children, people reported. While meeting with his family, Harry reportedly zoomed in on the camera in the room, giving his children a mini tour of the function room at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel.
Prince Harry’s Warning About Social Media
At the debut of The Archewell Foundation Parents Network at the Clinton Global Initiative on Tuesday, September 24, Harry spoke in front of photos of children who have been lost to the harm of social media. “Some will say, ‘Children will be children. They will suffer.’ I know a little about it,” he said as the audience laughed. “But our children are the targets. The harmful effects of social media are created by design, to scroll endlessly.
In front of a large audience, Harry warned the crowd of the “widespread threat” the online world poses to children of all ages.
“If we allow the status quo to remain in an age where our lives are intertwined with technology, we cannot afford to just see the online world as a place for profit, competition and rapid growth instead,” he argued. “I never grew up with a phone, but kids today are native to technology, technology that they don’t understand. Young people are constantly there with mindless content, endless, numb, scrolling, and food that doesn’t exist the child that will appear. We and the shareholders must be responsible for the CEO.
Prince Harry’s Pledge to Help Children
During a discussion about the Sentebale charity, Harry voiced his continued support for Lesotho and the surrounding region.
Harry explained that Sentebale’s mission is to focus on providing education, support and a “safe space” for children in the face of HIV, gender-based violence, food insecurity, poverty, war and mental health challenges.
The Duke of Sussex focused on how young people suffer from the social stigma attached to many of these issues and how they “suffer in silence” unnecessarily. “We must be brave,” Harry said. “Our mission is simple but very important: to help children. … By focusing on youth, we break the cycle of trauma.”
Harry reiterated that mental health is not a luxury but a necessity that everyone can experience with a little help.
“Let us commit to ensuring that every child is given the opportunity to develop their potential,” he said. “Despite the hardships of life, we only have to protect the future of our children. … Together we can and will make it happen.
